Blake's 2 week doctor appointment

Blake had his two week doctor appointment and is doing very well! His birth weight was 7lb, 5oz. Last week he weighed in at 6 lbs, 14.5 oz. (All babies lose some weight after birth). Today he weighed in at 7 lbs, 14 oz. He gained almost one entire pound in one week! This is the best enws because they are suppossed to be back at their birth weight by two weeks. So, he passed!

Blake also had a head circumference of 14 inches and his length measured at 22.25 inches. He was only 20 inches at birth and the doc said it was unlikely that he actually grew 2.25 inches in two weeks. I think they measured him incorrectly at the hospital because when we were at the hospital, the doctor said he was 21 inches and the nurse recorded 20 inches. It was too late when I asked about it. It had already been recorded as 20 inches and it didn't seem to matter to anyone else if they were off by an inch or so. Anyway, he is 22.25 inches long at two weeks. That, I know!

We're also STILL trying to figure out what color Blake's eyes are. They are so dark. I think they're a really dark gray-bluish color. But, this can change anytime in the next 6 months or so anyway. I guess we'll have to wait and see!
