After Blake's Dedication service, we came back to our house for a Mother's Day lunch. Dad made delicious pulled pork, Mom made a yummy vegetable salad, and Gail made some tasty potatoes. I made a pound cake/pudding/cool whip truffle that was, of course, low-fat (yeah, right!) We all had a great time!

Spend Less, Worship More
That has been our church's motto these last couple Christmas Seasons. It all started in 2006 when our church and three other churches decided that we really wanted to make a difference. Just four churches, but a huge difference. In 2007, many more churches decided they wanted to make a difference too. This year, it will be even bigger.
Do you want to make a difference in the world? Do you want to help make clean water available worldwide? Do you know that this is actually possible just by spending less at Christmas and donating some of that money you saved to Living Water? We challenge you and your church to join the Advent Conspiracy this year. Spend Less, Worship More. Matt has had the best Halloween costumes over the last few years. He always chooses people that he actually looks like. This year he chose Pee Wee Herman. I'm not sure if that is a compliment that he looks like Pee Wee Herman, but it is funny. Here's the comparision to see for yourself...
