Meet Shadow

WE LOVE SHADOW! I have to admit that I was never a big animal fan. I think they're cute and sweet, but they're also SO MUCH WORK. You have to train them, feed & bathe them, clean up after them, and you're somewhat stuck at the house with them. Well, my feelings towards pets in general has completely changed. Shadow (formerly Sam) has become a part of our family in less than a week. He's such a great dog! We still have a lot of training to do and will be taking him to obedience classes, but for now he's perfect for us.

He is completely house-trained and has not had an accident in the house--not even once. Let's home it stays that way! He loves running and playing and we're teaching him to stay, come, up (to get the toy), and get the ball. He's a very good watchdog. If everyone is asleep and I get up for something, he just gives one bark--like a warning. He's afraid of stairs and sewers. We've gotten him up about five stairs, but he won't go any higher than that. When we go running and there is a grate on the ground, he'll jump up on the grass to run around it & then come back to my side to run by me on the street. The kids adore him. Kyle has been busy brushing him multiple times a day and taking him outside for walks. So, while he is extra work, he's also extra special in out hearts!! I don't think we would have had the same connection had it have been any other dog. Shadow was truly meant to be a part of our family.
